  1. Hello Heather --

December 1st is our grandson's birthday! He just turned eight years old, born in 2000, and we took him to a local restaurant for dinner. We held him the day he was born at Portland's St. Vincent Hospital.

Our granddaughter is getting really big! We moved here the year she was born (Jan. 31, 1998) and I fed her a spoonful of bananas (first solid food). Boy, did her mother get mad at me!

In your profile, what waterfall are you standing in front of...? I can't figure it out.

I found your blog at NEXT BLOG. What a nice thing to do -- an Open House on the last day of November! I am socially disabled, and hardly ever entertain -- maybe from being an only child who had dogs and horses to keep her company after school.

However, I have lots of friends on the blogosphere. I love the name of your blog, and admire you for home schooling your children. That takes a VERY special woman!

I'm a 69 year old grandmother in suburban Portland, Oregon and my husband is almost 75. Our two grandkids take up a lot of our time. We also travel about 1/3 of each year after working a combined total of 100+ years! Next trip is this month, to California, to visit the sun!

Happy holidays to everyone at your house!
Come visit me at my blog!

    Peace, love and happiness,
